Multi Communications with the largest Polish WEEE company for the seventh year in a row
21.02.2012

ElektroEko – the largest waste electrical and electronic equipment recycling organization in Poland has renewed the cooperation agreement with Multi Communications for another year. The companies joined their forces in 2006.
Under the agreement Multi Communications will be tasked with running the press office, as well as with providing support in the field of corporate PR activities and educational campaigns.
For ElektroEko the extensive expertise in the market and a good insight of Multi Communications into the client's needs was a decisive factor in prolonging the cooperation.
“ElektroEko is distinguished not only by its diligence in satisfying the customers' needs, but also by its active participation in organizing educational campaigns aimed at raising the social awareness about managing waste electrical and electronic equipment. We are happy to be able to support the implementation of this strategy. For us the renewal of the agreement is a sign of trust that the client has placed in our agency, as well as a major recognition of our achievements,” says Dorota Bieniek-Kaska, PR Department Director at Multi Communiactions.
During the past 6 years Multi Communiactions has been responsible for corporate PR activities and for organizing on behalf of ElektroEko the following educational campaigns: “Każdy uczeń wie, co zrobić z ZSEE” (Every pupil knows where the WEEE goes), “Elektrośmieci? Przynieś z mieszkania do punktu zbierania!” (Electro-waste? Bring them to the collection point!) and “Masz ZUŻYTĄ ŚWIETLÓWKĘ? Wrzuć ją do pojemnika z tym znakiem!” (Do you have a waste fluorescent lamp? Throw it into a container marked with this sign!).
All the projects are supervised by Corporate & Business Communications Unit, managed by Account Director Edyta Miszczuk. The team responsible for the collaboration is composed of Michał Gibki – Junior Account Manager and Bartosz Lewicki – Senior Consultant.
ElektroEko was established on 3 February 2006 by the largest Polish companies and organizations associating producers and importers of household appliances, consumer electronics, IT equipment and lighting. The organization fulfills its obligations under the Act of July 29, 2005 on waste electrical and electronic equipment by organizing an efficient and cost effective system of waste equipment collection and recycling and by conducting educational campaigns. Since 2006 ElektroEko has collected over 200,000 tons of WEEE, which is tantamount to almost 60% of all electro-waste collected in Poland. ElektroEko was also the first company in Poland to introduce an electronic system for monitoring the WEEE and documentation flow. The system encompasses all subcontractors and enables a systematic and continuous supervision. That is why ElektroEko can be sure that entities it collaborates with always comply with the highest standards of the WEEE market sector.
